Retention of young minority professionals in the Grand Rapids area is a growing concern of many employers. In an attempt to offset this trend, various businesses, Events by Jessica Ann created the Minority Business and Professionals Tour. This event is an informational tour that engages selected students. Students of diverse cultural backgrounds are invited to interact with minority professionals on a day tour to interact in the workplace. It is our goal to provide talented and skilled students with the opportunity to seek career advice in addition to providing them with a possible mentor/mente relationship that creates an incentive for them to stay in the Kent County area upon graduation.
